Elaina Kay's Cornbread & Country

THE OPPORTUNITY

Currently a resident of Arlington, TX, Kay has been nominated for a Dallas Observer Music Award as well as a Central Track Music Honor for “Best Country Act.” However, Kay’s talent doesn’t stop at music; she is a multi-faceted businesswoman and entrepreneur. She is currently a ranch realtor and founder of Cornbread and Country, an annual food and music festival at Sons of Hermann Hall, which is in its fifth rendition.

In Jan. 2023, Kay was set to perform at her 5th annual music festival, “Elaina Kay’s Cornbread & Country.” The event showcased seven live performances including Kay herself while providing a Texas BBQ-style dinner. In order to promote her event, Kay came to CultureHype with the goal of establishing herself as not only a musician but an event producer and business owner.

THE DEVELOPMENT

CultureHype wanted to focus on promoting the event months prior to increase awareness of the festival to the DFW community. Leading up to the event, CultureHype generated event listings and scheduled press interviews. We wanted to focus on the event itself while promoting Kay’s overall career journey.

THE RESULTS

“Elaina Kay’s Cornbread & Country” was proven to be a success, with this event attracting a full house and stellar reviews from guests that attended. CultureHype successfully positioned Kay in the media which resulted in six pieces of coverage, including two online features, two broadcast and two newsletter inclusions. In the end, the festival’s media coverage gained over 7 million total media impressions.
