The Opportunity

The Development

Jeremiah’s artistry & career have blossomed because he focused on the story first & foremost. When he felt lost, he rekindled his passion by focusing on characters in his art.. From acrylic to sculpture, Jeremiah’s themes are consistent & dynamic.

With a strong foundation in genuine stories, CultureHype worked on feature press & collaborations to build Jeremiah’s presence as a Dallas artist. At the beginning of his first campaign, we introduced Dallas to the artist by sporting a custom pair of hand-painted Nike Air Force 1’s around town to art openings & fashion events, featuring them on our social media & resulting in them being featured in the Dallas Observer & in D Magazine’s newly revamped Front Row newsletter. Jeremiah was also able to create a one-of-a-kind iconic jacket for Dallas’ top fashion/charity event: DIFFA. That solidified his place as a not only a talent, but a versatile maker. The jacket was the only designer jacket featured in the store window at Traffic LA in downtown Dallas & sold during the DIFFA auction the evening of the event.

CultureHype also supported Jeremiah’s debut show in 2019 in the Design District. For his artistic “debut” he received high acclaim from D Magazine, the Dallas Observer, CultureMap Dallas, Dallas Innovates, & more.

I’ve always wanted to work with an agency that understands the ability to fuse commercial branding with artist creativity/development. CultureHype is full of young, vibrant, & yet experienced talents who understand the essential goals of public relations. They took a sketch of my vision & actualized it way past my imagination! Wonderful team to have!!

Some of my projects as a visual artist require an unblemished execution with a complete artistic eye. Knowing that I needed a PR team that could quickly interpret my ideas and provide solutions that match the primary ideas my studio has, I tapped Amber & her creative team at CultureHype to help find solutions and together execute successfully.

The Results + Adapting to COVID-19

Jeremiah’s work with CultureHype focused on three key areas: character & origin storytelling, artistry, & new creative opportunities to showcase his work in unconventional ways. After his debut show, he created work for the Dallas Children’s Hospital, & continues to pitch ideas that align with his larger mission & values.

In June, Jeremiah & CultureHype collaborated on a 96-hour socially-distanced art gallery show highlighting systemic racism & gentrification in the Dallas area. Supported in part by the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs, the exhibition was located in Bonton, a historically black neighborhood in South Dallas. We were able to help execute a successful show with notable press in all major outlets, over 100 attendees, collectors, & more during the pandemic after the show was rescheduled several times from its original date. The show, Blue Dot, drew attention to the effects of redlining by bringing people together from throughout the city safely through accessible art. By hosting an art show in a neighborhood that is often overlooked or seen as dangerous, Jeremiah hoped it would open up Dallas denizens to new places & experiences.

The pandemic made things more uncertain for the art industry than ever, with that it made us reconsider several ways to handle upcoming projects. CultureHype became a very flexible & dynamic hub providing me with channels of ideas that eventually pushed us to successful execution. I’m happy to know that I have a PR team with the skill set to provide rapid solutions!
